Born in a small California town. My father, a German immigrant, worked as a software tester. My mother raised horses. Together they built a small ranch where I was taught to solve problems at the root and to work with my hands.

Competitive sports gave way to long-distance running on canyon trails and to weightlifting. The discipline of finishing hard efforts under fatigue became permanent; I carry that mindset across all endeavors to this day.

Every business or personal venture became a project with a focus on leadership; what held my attention were the people who turned large ideas into real systems that survived. That early exposure shaped how I look at building and protecting things over time.
